About The Role The Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Units at John Hunter Hospital are looking for a motivated and organised Administration Officer to join their supportive team.

Based on Level 2 of John Hunter Hospital, you’ll work closely with administration staff, nurses and clinicians to provide productive administrative support and help ensure clinics run smoothly.

This is a part-time position working 3 days per week, with days to be determined.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days will be exactly the same. You'll provide a range of administrative and reception support, including:

- Answering telephone enquiries and assisting patients and staff
- Making and managing patient appointments
- Managing waitlists and ensuring information is kept up to date
- Preparing and servicing outpatient clinics
- Managing emails and faxes
- Filing and maintaining accurate records
- Providing general administrative support to the Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Units
- Working closely with clinicians, nursing staff and other administration team members to support the delivery of quality patient care
