Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a dedicated and community-focused Cancer Support Health Promotion Officer to join our Cancer Support Program within the Public Health Unit. This rewarding position will play a vital role in increasing cancer awareness, promoting early detection and screening, and supporting individuals and families throughout their cancer journey.

About the Role
As the Cancer Support Health Promotion Officer, you will work closely with community members, Elders, health professionals, and partner organisations to deliver culturally protected cancer education, health promotion activities, and community engagement initiatives. You will help empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to make informed decisions about their health while strengthening access to cancer screening and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Public Health team.
- Coordinating meetings, calendars, travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Preparing correspondence, agendas, minutes and action lists.
- Maintaining filing and record management systems.
- Undertaking reception and customer service duties.
- Assisting with public health projects and community health promotion activities.
- Supporting the development of community links and engagement activities.
About you:
- Experience and/or qualifications in office administration.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Respect for Aboriginal culture and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with
- Aboriginal people and communities.
- A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- A current NT Driver's Licence and the ability to obtain an Ochre Card and National Police Check.
Desirable:
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, email, spreadsheets and database management.
- Experience working within a health, community services or Aboriginal organisation environment.

Administration, Support & Management (Admin) 5.1 - 5.4: $75,291.13 - $78.460.14 per annum
