Your new role

Join the ABI TRS research team as a Senior Research Assistant, supporting the Research and Development Officer in the delivery of research projects involving participants with complex care needs. You will apply advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, independent judgement and expert organisational abilities to support participant recruitment, research coordination, data collection and clinical trial compliance.

In This Role, You Will

- Lead internal and external research monitoring and auditing to support regulatory and scientific requirements.
- Monitor and report research outcomes and safety endpoints, applying clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Provide high-level advice regarding research processes, data collection, storage and analysis, including preliminary reports and statistical analysis.
- Collaborate with principal investigators, research teams, healthcare professionals, participants, carers and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
- Support compliance with research protocols, Good Clinical Practice, ethical standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

About You We are looking for an experienced and motivated health professional with solid clinical research capabilities, excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently. To Be Successful, You Will Demonstrate





- Clinical and problem-solving skills: Ability to plan, coordinate and complete complex research-related tasks while maintaining informed consent, confidentiality and participant safety.
- Research expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of clinical research processes, with clinical research experience highly desirable.
- Data and analytical capability: Proficiency in quantitative statistical analysis using programs such as SPSS and JASP. Experience with R Studio is highly regarded.

- Research data experience: Experience with longitudinal data and/or data harmonisation is highly regarded.

About Us The Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation (AHR), Princess Alexandra Hospital consists of inpatient, outpatient and community-based rehabilitation and persistent pain services with a strong person-centred and interdisciplinary team focus. The Division provides services for people with acquired brain injury (ABI), amputation, persistent pain, spinal cord injury (SCI) and other disability. The Department of Rehabilitation (DoR) is managed by the Departmental Executive that consists of the Medical Chair, Director of Nursing, Allied Health representative and the Business Manager.
