General Assembly Worker - Street Furniture Role Description

Mos Urban is a design focused company specialising in the design, supply and installation of Street Furniture nationwide. Mos Urban is a young and dynamic company that has established a strong position in the market and has significant growth expectations looking forward.

We are seeking to hire a General Assembly Workerwho will be responsible for the assembly and production activities in our assembly facility. Responsibilities include cutting and machining of timber, assembly of furniture, preparing components for work.

Other requirements are reading specification drawings and preparing jigs, receipt of components, packing of finished goods. Working closely with our Production Coordinator making sure that all delivery commitments are met. Safety and quality assurance and support within the assembly team to meet the product specification requirements.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work to strict deadlines, be effective with your time management and be comfortable working within a variety of manufacturing methods. You will need a forklift licence, and a good understanding of manufacturing processes, ability to read and understand production drawings and at least two (2) years of relevant experience is required for consideration.

The role requires the operation of some timber working tools and machines.

Responsibilities

· Assembly finishing and oiling of street furniture including timber seats, benches and bins to strict specifications using a variety of hand tools.

· Docking and machining of timber using a drop saw.





· Machining of timber profiles using a panel saw, a router and a combination machine (In house training to be provided).

· Follow safety and working procedure guidelines

· Strive for efficiency and follow workflow to meet delivery requirements.

· Receiving and checking goods from external suppliers

· Palletising and packing finished products for shipping

Requirements

· Solid awareness of safety and strictly follow our in house Safe Working Procedures

· Relevant trade qualification.

· Must enjoy physical work

· Minimum of 2 years of hands on experience in the workforce, ideally in a similar position with experiences with manufacturing processes.

· Be able to read and understand production drawings, BOM and product specifications.

· Ability to deal with challenging deadlines

· Excellent organisational and time management skills

· High attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities

· Forklift license desirable

· Permanent residency or ability to work in Australia without any restrictions

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
