This is a unique hybrid role combining club operations, sales and member engagement (60%) with social media and content creation (40%). You'll work alongside the Club Manager to create a welcoming, high-energy club workplace while supporting day-to-day operations. As a qualified Personal Trainer, you'll also have the opportunity to operate and grow your own PT business from the club with no PT rent while employed in this role.
Key responsibilities
Assistant Club Manager (60%)
- Engaging with members and creating an amazing in-club experience
- Conducting club tours and handling membership enquiries
- Following up leads and assisting with membership sales
- Supporting new member onboarding
- Building relationships with members and supporting member retention
- Completing member service and administrative tasks
- Assisting with membership accounts and general club operations
- Maintaining high club presentation and cleanliness standards
- Supporting club promotions, challenges and events
- Being a visible, approachable and energetic presence on the gym floor
Social Media & Content (40%):
- Filming and editing Reels, Stories and short-form videos
- Creating engaging Instagram and Facebook content
- Being comfortable appearing on camera and becoming one of the faces of the club
- Capturing member wins, workouts, challenges, events and club culture
- Showcasing Personal Trainers and their services
- Creating content around membership campaigns and promotions
- Planning and maintaining a consistent content schedule
- Identifying content opportunities within the club
About you
- Certificate III & IV in Fitness
- Current First Aid
- Current CPR
- Current Working With Children Check
- Full availability for all three set shifts: Monday 3:00pm–7:00pm, Tuesday 10:00am–2:00pm, Saturday 8:30am–12:30pm
- Friendly, energetic and naturally confident with people
- Passionate about health and fitness
- Comfortable approaching and speaking with members
- Sales-focused without being pushy
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Highly reliable and organised
- Creative and confident with social media
- Comfortable filming yourself and others
- Happy appearing on camera
- Familiar with Instagram, Reels, Stories and short-form video
- Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Motivated to grow your own Personal Training business
