Little Kindy Tatura is looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Director / Educational Leader to join our team!

About the Role

As our Assistant Director / Educational Leader, you will work closely with the Centre Director and leadership team to support the effective day-to-day operation of the service while driving high-quality educational practice, compliance and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who is confident supporting educators, mentoring teams and ensuring the service consistently delivers a high standard of care and education.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Centre Director with the day-to-day operations of the service
- Lead and mentor educators to strengthen their professional practice
- Oversee and support educational programs, planning and documentation
- Ensure programming reflects the EYLF and children's individual learning needs
- Support educators with observations, assessments and reflective practice
- Promote strong relationships with children, families and educators
- Support child safety, active supervision and compliance
- Assist with NQS, QIP and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the service
- Support staff performance, professional development and accountability
- Contribute to a positive, respectful and collaborative workplace culture
- Step into the Centre Director's responsibilities when required

Experience Is Essential Previous leadership and Educational Leader experience is a must.

We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in early childhood leadership and can confidently step into a leadership position from day one.





You will ideally have

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
- Previous experience as an Educational Leader, Assistant Director, Room Leader or similar leadership position
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and National Regulations
- Strong understanding of child safety and protection
- Excellent knowledge of programming, planning and reflective practice
- Experience supporting and mentoring educators
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
