The Commercial Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic hospitality professional to join the current management team. The Hotel is part of a large and successful pub group with over a dozen venues throughout Sydney and Greater NSW. Opportunities for growth and development within the group are abundant and genuine career progression opportunities exist.

The successful applicant will be striving for a rewarding career in hospitality and will be able to execute their responsibilities is a busy and fast-paced environment. Working closely with the Licensee and directors, the successful applicant will be exposed to and involved in all manner of hotel operations, including Human Resources, Marketing, Inventory Management and Finance.

Experience in the hotel sector is preferred, though not essential for the right candidate as training and support will be provided. This is a great chance to secure a position in a strong and effective management team within a larger hotel group environment.

The Role

- The overall operations of the business whilst on shift
- Leading and managing a team
- Regular coaching,



training and mentoring of staff to improve them and service standards
- Cost control with a focus on labour
- Ensuring the team is delivering excellent customer service
- A good understanding of Gaming
- Adherence & reporting to compliance and legislative matters
- Continuous improvement in operations and service

About you:
- Experience in (or a willingness to learn) Marketing, Social Media and Functions Planning & Execution is advantageous
- Solid knowledge of food & beverage
- An understanding and appreciation of gaming
- Strong leadership skills
- An ability to think outside the square
- Proven experience working in a small but multi-faceted business
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of current liquor legislation
- Hands-on approach with a natural ability to lead a team to be the best they can be
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends
