An exciting leadership prospect to support and work alongside the Director of Retail Property Management, driving team performance, client service excellence, operational effectiveness and business growth. You will oversee a portfolio of retail assets while mentoring property managers and contributing to the strategic success of the division.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

- Assist in leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing Retail Property Management team.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and values-driven culture.
- Coach and support junior property managers, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Drive best-practice systems, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning, business development and cross-functional collaboration.

Property & Client Management

- Manage and enhance the performance of retail property assets to maximise returns and minimise risk.
- Build strong relationships with owners, tenants, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Oversee lease administration, rent reviews, lease renewals and tenant negotiations.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure assets are maintained to a high standard.
- Manage service contractors, maintenance programs, compliance requirements and capital works.
- Ensure accurate management of lease documentation, bank guarantees, insurance records and critical dates.

Financial Management

- Assist with departmental budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Monitor portfolio income and expenditure, driving cost efficiencies and value for money.
- Manage arrears, rental collections and outgoings reconciliations.




- Prepare detailed monthly and annual management reports for clients.
- Contribute to achieving and exceeding revenue and profitability targets.

Compliance & Risk

- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies and client requirements.
- Oversee statutory inspections, safety testing and risk management activities.
- Maintain accurate records within property management systems (MRI preferred).
- Champion workplace health and safety best practices across all managed assets.

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in retail property management, ideally at a senior level.
- Strong leadership and people management capability.
- Sound knowledge of lease administration, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
- Commercially minded with a focus on asset performance and business growth.
- Strong understanding of property compliance, risk management and WHS obligations.
