About the role

Allplant Auto Electrics Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive electrical systems and contribute to the mining, resources and energy sector's vehicle maintenance needs. As an Auto Electrician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining complex electrical systems on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are consistently met.

This role is based on-site in Welshpool, WA.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electrical faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and testing tools

- Repair and replace faulty electrical components including alternators, starters, batteries, wiring harnesses and lighting systems

- Perform routine maintenance on vehicle electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend component lifespan

- Install and configure advanced automotive electrical systems, including aftermarket equipment and specialised mining vehicle modifications

- Test and validate electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications

- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all electrical work completed

- Work collaboratively with other technicians and workshop staff to meet deadlines and maintain service quality

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures

- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and contribute to continuous workplace improvements

What we're looking for





- Current automotive electrician qualification or equivalent trade certification recognised in Western Australia

- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in automotive electrical repair and maintenance

- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, multimeters and specialist electrical testing tools

- Robust knowledge of automotive electrical systems, including 12V and 24V systems commonly used in mining vehicles

- Experience with heavy-duty vehicle electrical systems is highly desirable

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex electrical faults efficiently

- Sound understanding of electrical safety principles and workplace health and safety legislation

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Physical fitness and ability to work in various positions, including overhead and confined spaces
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake additional training as required
