About West End Service Centre

West End Service Centre is an established independent automotive service and repair workshop located in West End, Brisbane.

We provide servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicles, including European, Japanese, Australian, hybrid and electric vehicles.

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our busy service department.

This is a genuine management position combining workshop operations, staff coordination, customer service and commercial responsibility.

The Role

As our Automotive Service Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the service department and coordination of customers, technicians, suppliers and workshop workflow.

Key responsibilities include

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the automotive service department.
- Planning and coordinating workshop bookings, workload and vehicle scheduling.
- Managing workshop capacity and allocating work according to technician availability and skill requirements.
- Monitoring jobs throughout the day to maintain efficient workflow and timely completion.
- Supervising and supporting service and workshop staff.
- Coordinating communication between customers, technicians, management and suppliers.
- Reviewing vehicle inspection and diagnostic findings and communicating repair recommendations to customers.
- Preparing and reviewing repair quotations and obtaining customer authorisation for additional work.
- Managing customer enquiries, complaints, warranty matters and after-sales issues.




- Maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout the vehicle service and repair process.
- Monitoring workshop productivity, labour utilisation, job profitability and service department performance.
- Assisting with staff training, development and implementation of workshop procedures.
- Coordinating parts, suppliers and external services required for vehicle repairs.
- Maintaining accurate customer, vehicle, quotation and service records.
- Overseeing quality-control procedures before completed vehicles are returned to customers.
- Assisting with workplace health and safety and relevant automotive industry compliance.
- Reviewing service department procedures and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Working closely with workshop management to achieve operational and financial targets.

About You

We are looking for an experienced automotive professional with strong operational, technical and customer-management skills.

The successful applicant will have:

- A minimum of 1 year' relevant automotive industry experience, ideally in service management, workshop management, service advising or a similar senior automotive service role.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating automotive workshop operations and workflow.
- Strong knowledge of automotive servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repair processes.
- Experience preparing and explaining repair quotations and technical recommendations to customers.
- Experience supervising, coordinating or supporting automotive service or workshop staff.




- Robust customer service and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities within a busy automotive workshop.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills and experience with automotive workshop or dealer management systems.
- The ability to work effectively with technicians, customers, suppliers and management.

A relevant automotive, business or management qualification will be highly regarded.

What We Offer

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

Superannuation: Statutory superannuation paid in addition to salary

Bonuses: Additional performance-based bonus opportunities

Employment: Permanent full-time

RDO: Every second Monday off

Friday lunch: Lunch provided by the company every Friday

Location: West End, Brisbane QLD 4101

The fortnightly Monday RDO means you'll regularly enjoy a three-day weekend while working in a professional, established automotive workshop.

Performance bonuses are additional to the guaranteed base salary and may be based on agreed service department and business performance targets.
