About The Role

As a result of growth within our BGS+ Soccer Academy, applications are currently invited for the casual positions of Head Soccer/Futsal Coach for the 2027 Season. Working with Football Victoria and our official club partner, Hampton East Brighton Football Club, the BGS+ Soccer program provides players with all the necessary pathways to excel in Soccer and reach their potential. All our programs are open to both Brighton Grammar School students and the wider community.

Responsibilities

As a Head Coach in this program, you will be responsible for leading a MiniRoos team (U3-U13) throught the 2027 season. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading a MiniRoos team (U3–U13) throughout the season.
- Planing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate soccer sessions.
- Creating a safe, positive and development-focused learning environment for players.
- Implementing the BGS+ coaching philosophy and player-development framework.
- Supporting the development of confidence, skill and resilience in young players.

Coaches generally work two training sessions per week.



Sessions operate across Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with all teams training together on a Friday afternoon. All coaching duties, during training, run after school and are generally concluded by 5.30pm. Matches are played on Saturday and flexibilitiy is required to accomodate a morning or afternoon game pending competition schedules. The minuimum time commitment for this role will be approximately 7 hours per week. As a casual coach you will be paid for the hours worked which may vary slightly from week to week. Indicative income, based on the schedule for the season, will be approcimately $7,500 to $8,000 plus superannuation (less tax). Additional hours may also be available throughout the season through involvement in tournaments, holiday programs, development clinics and ad-hoc coaching assignments.

In order to be considered for this chance, the successful applicant will require:

- An sound understanding of the skills and tactics required to participate in Soccer/Futsal.
- Football Australia Foundations of Football Certificate.
- Football Australia C licence (desirable).
- Experience coaching Junior Soccer players.
- The ability to make sound judgements, coordinate activities and meet deadlines without supervision.
- The ability to work autonomously with high levels of motivation – yet also able to work effectively as part of a team.




- Well-developed oral and written communications skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A current employee Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check.
