We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced blast hole drillers for a Casual role working across our drilling projects within and across QLD.
Action Drill & Blast currently operate across the following projects:
- Kogan Creek (between Miles and Chinchilla)
- Cameby Downs (between Miles and Chinchilla)
- Yarrabee (Blackwater region)
- Jellinbah (Blackwater region)
- Isaac Downs (Coppabella/Moranbah region)
- South Walker Creek (Nebo/Coppabella region)
- Baralaba (Baralaba/Banana region)
- Callide (Biloela region)
- Carmichael (North Galilee Basin) - FIFO out of Rockhampton or Townsville, or you can DIDO
Reporting to the Project manager or their delegate, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Operating our REICHdrill C700 and C750 platform drill rigs, as well as Epiroc D65 and DML drill rigs.
- Accurately checking the quality and depth of drill holes and recording ground conditions that may affect blasting
- Maintaining a clean and tidy rig and reporting/addressing any maintenance faults
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards regular and reliable drill metres, rig utilisation and consumables usage
- Provide neat and complete associated documentation for drill reports, pre-starts etc
- Regularly use safety tools such as JHA's and Take 5's
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience using platform rotary drill rigs (highly desirable)
- Previous experience in Blast Hole Drilling in Black Coal mining (highly desirable)
- Australian Driver Licence
- Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
- RII for Blast Hole Drilling - RIIBHD301E (highly desirable)
Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment medical assessments including a drug and alcohol screen.
