We are seeking an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor to join our Mining team at the Pajingo operation. Reporting directly to the Mine Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring daily production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and workforce leadership.

About the Role

n

As the Underground Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing underground mining activities, ensuring work is conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide daily supervision and leadership to underground mining crews.
n
- Ensure production and development targets are achieved safely each shift.
n
- Conduct workplace inspections and maintain accurate records.
n
- Lead risk assessments and ensure effective controls are implemented.
n
- Manage workforce training and competency requirements.
n
- Supervise contractors working underground, including drilling activities.
n
- Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, communication, and leadership.
n
- Monitor workplace conditions and stop work when safety risks become unacceptable.
n
- Support the development and performance of team members.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.

About You

n





To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

- Previous experience supervising underground mining operations.
n
- Minimum 5 years' underground mining experience
n
- Strong people leadership and crew management skills.
n
- Experience in health, safety, and risk management practices.
n
- Ability to prioritise work, manage competing demands, and make sound decisions.
n
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
n
