About the Opportunity Service Stream’s Energy division are currently searching for trade qualified Boilermakers & Pressure Welders for upcoming work in the Callide region. These positions are for approximately 2 – 6 weeks (role dependant). Local applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Location: Queensland
Reporting Line: Operational
Key Roles / Responsibilities
Reporting to the site-based operational team, you will be required to undertake the following tasks:
Boilermaker
- General fabrication and structural activities in a coal fired power station
Pressure Welder
- Flux-cored arc welding of plate and pipe
- Gas metal-arc welding of plate and pipe
Both roles
- Execution of work packages in accordance with the relevant standard
- Compliance of customer hold and witness points
- Participate in toolbox talks and relevant safety documentation and information
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
- Liaise with Leading Hands and Supervisors, Quality and NDT if required
- Provide accurate update information to Supervisors
About You To be successful in these roles, you are an experienced Boilermaker or Pressure Welder with a genuine concern for safety, our people and outcomes. We are seeking individuals with demonstrated knowledge and experience with coal fired power stations in a maintenance environment.
You will also demonstrate and possess the following:
- Australian recognised trade qualification (Cert III – Engineering)
- Construction Induction Card
- Driver’s Licences preferred
- High Risk Work Licence (LF, WP) – preferred but not essential
- Weld tickets desirable but not essential
- Working at heights certificate valid within 2 years
- Confined space certificate valid within 2 years
