Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher with expertise in slicing and portion cutting to join our team. This role focuses on precision cutting of meat products to specification for retail, wholesale, or foodservice clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of yield management, portion control, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality across all cuts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately slice and portion meat cuts according to set weights, sizes, and customer specifications.
- Be competent using the bandsaw for portion cutting
- Trim and prepare various meat products (beef, pork, lamb, poultry) with consistency and efficiency.
- Operate commercial slicing and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure portioned products meet presentation and quality standards.
- Minimize waste and maximize yield through precise trimming and cut planning
- Collaborate with the packing teams to meet orders , deadlines and packaged specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Follow all food safety guidelines,



WHS standards, and company procedures.

Skills and Experience:

- Proven experience in a butchery or meat processing
- Strong knife skills and bandsaw ability
- Familiarity with commercial meat slicing and cutting tools and machinery.
- Understanding of meat quality, yields, and handling procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency in product presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety and hygiene standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
