Bay Ten Espresso is looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to take ownership of the venue and help shape its next stage. This is more than a "keep the café running" role. You'll work closely with the wider management team across day-to-day operations, people, coffee, food, suppliers, customer experience and commercial performance. There is genuine opportunity to help develop the venue further, including events, catering, extended trading and future weekend trade.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Bay Ten team
- Own the day-to-day operation and service
- Maintain high standards across coffee, food, hospitality and presentation
- Build solid relationships with customers and regulars
- Manage ordering, stock, suppliers and wastage
- Monitor sales, COGS, labour and overall venue performance
- Support menu and beverage development
- Identify opportunities to improve the business and customer experience
- Help shape the future growth and direction of Bay Ten
About you
- Previous café or hospitality management experience
- Confident leading a team and running a busy service
- Strong understanding of coffee, food and hospitality
- Commercially aware and understands the numbers behind a successful venue
- Organised, proactive and solutions-focused
- Takes pride in standards and the small details
- Naturally looks for ways to improve things
- Wants to be part of building something, rather than simply managing what already exists
About us Bay Ten Espresso is an established specialty café located within the Work Inc precinct in North Sydney. We're a busy, quality-focused café with a strong base of regular customers, local businesses, Work Inc members and visitors. Alongside daily breakfast and lunch trade, we also cater for events and functions.
