Now, our Adelaide team is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new Cardiology Service – and we need 2x Part Time Cardiology Nurses to help shape and grow our ever growing services.

What Will Your Day Look Like?

- Assist with consultations
- Admitting and discharging cardiology patients
- Perform basic physical examinations including TPR and Doppler blood pressures
- Collect and run bloodwork
- Prepare patients for sedation and anaesthesia
- Assist with cardiac work-up’s including echocardiograms, diagnostic chest xray’s, electrocardiograms, placing holter monitors
- Calculating, preparing and administering medications
- Providing a safe and positive experience to patients
- Running and maintaining a clinical setting
- Maintain department stock levels
- Handover inpatients to relevant departments when needed
- Follow infection control and policies




- Able to understand and recognise the importance of nursing cardiovascular compromised patients
- Support whole hospital approach
- Check Cardiology email account and action
- Check Cardiology communications on ezyvet and action where possible

About You:

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Minimum 4 years' full-time experience as a qualified vet nurse
- Experience in an emergency or referral hospital environment
- Strong interest in continued career development and CPD
- Previous experience as a Cardiology Nurse is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a Specialist Nurse in Surgery, Medicine or Anaesthesia would be highly regarded
