Ready to make a splash in your career? WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Catchment Program Coordinator (Full-Time, Max-Term until January 2028) to join our Source Water Protection team.

Reporting to the Source Water Protection Manager, you will coordinate the delivery of catchment programs and projects that support sustainable land and water management outcomes. Working with landholders, local government agencies, industry groups, and community stakeholders, you will build partnerships, manage projects, provide strategic advice, and drive initiatives that protect and enhance WaterNSW's catchments while contributing to a sustainable water future for NSW. Location: Parramatta is the preferred location for the position. However, we may be open to considering having the successful candidate based in Warragamba Dam or Nepean Depot.

What you'll do:





- Develop and implement WaterNSW projects and programs by coordinating internal resources, external stakeholders and contractors to effectively and efficiently achieve outcomes identified in the WaterNSW Source Water Protection Strategy.
- Negotiate with individuals, businesses, industry groups, State and local government agencies and represent WaterNSW at external forums to establish and implement appropriate catchment improvement outcomes.
- Provide analysis, information and advice on budgets, program priorities, implementation, scientific and engineering data and strategic issues to ensure the delivery of assigned projects and advice to management on any emerging issues.
- Liaise with WaterNSW staff and catchment stakeholders to ensure clear and open lines of communication are established and maintained to ensure trust is engendered in key stakeholders.
- Project manage specific Catchment Programs and projects to meet the identified objectives.

What we are looking for:

- Tertiary qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field and/or relevant experience.




- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of integrated water quality and/or catchment management.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders, foster strong working relationships and balance the diverse needs, expectations and priorities of multiple stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in the design, planning, and delivery of projects and programs including applied science and policy.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Nice to Have: Experience in urban storm water and water quality management, and/or in designing incentive programs to achieve environmental outcomes in resource management space.
