Join one of Australia’s fastest-growing geospatial, utilities and asset investigation businesses and be part of the continued growth of Geosurv’s Utilities Network.

About Geosurv

Geosurv is a Sydney-based multidisciplinary business delivering integrated Geospatial, Utilities and Asset Investigation & Maintenance services across major infrastructure, construction, transport, utilities and development projects throughout NSW.

With a team of more than 100 people, our capability extends well beyond traditional surveying. Across our Geospatial and Utilities Networks, we provide surveying, spatial and digital solutions, utility locating and mapping, utility surveying, CCTV pipeline inspections, non-destructive digging (NDD), asset investigations and maintenance, and other specialist services.

We work alongside some of Australia’s leading contractors and organisations on major projects across Sydney and NSW, with a strong pipeline of long-term infrastructure and construction work.

Our Utilities Network is a significant growth area for Geosurv. We are continuing to invest in our people, technology, equipment and service capability, and we are looking for an experienced CCTV Operator who wants to be part of that growth.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on field role for an experienced CCTV Operator who can confidently deliver pipeline inspection works from mobilisation through to final reporting.

You will undertake CCTV inspections across sewer, stormwater and other underground infrastructure, operate and maintain specialist CCTV equipment, complete WinCan reporting and work directly with clients and project teams to ensure accurate, high-quality deliverables.

Ideally, you will also have utility locating experience and be comfortable supporting locating works when required.

Importantly, we are looking for more than someone who can simply operate the equipment. We want someone who takes ownership of their work, understands the importance of quality and productivity, communicates well with clients and wants to contribute to the continued development of Geosurv’s CCTV capability.

What You Will Be Doing

Your role will include

- Conducting CCTV inspections of new and existing sewer,

stormwater and underground infrastructure.
- Identifying and accurately recording defects, blockages, cracks and other asset conditions.
- Completing pipeline inspection reports using WinCan software and ensuring accurate and timely client deliverables.
- Managing CCTV footage, field data, reporting and project documentation from site through to completion.
- Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting CCTV inspection equipment.
- Liaising directly with clients to understand project requirements and provide practical technical advice.
- Delivering work safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, Geosurv procedures and relevant industry standards.
- Undertaking utility locating works where required, including interpreting plans, locating underground services and applying AS 5488 – Classification of Subsurface Utility Information.
- Supporting project planning, methodologies, scopes and pricing with technical CCTV input.
- Mentoring and developing trainees and less experienced team members as our CCTV capability continues to grow.
- Identifying opportunities where Geosurv's other Utilities and Geospatial services can add value for clients.
- Working closely with Operations and project teams to improve productivity, quality and project outcomes.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is technically capable, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for their own projects.

Ideally, you will have:

- 1-3+ years' practical experience in CCTV pipeline inspection, with strong knowledge of sewer and stormwater infrastructure.
- Experience using CCTV inspection equipment and WinCan or similar reporting software.
- Utility locating experience and competency using locating equipment.
- RIICCM202 – Identify and Locate Underground Services (or equivalent).

- DBYD accreditation, or be working towards accreditation.
- A sound understanding of AS 5488 and underground utility classification.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate field data and reporting.
- The ability to troubleshoot equipment and field issues and make practical decisions on site.
- Confidence communicating directly with clients, supervisors and project teams.
- A strong approach to WHS, quality and environmental requirements.
- Australian Driver Licence.
- Construction White Card.

What Success Looks Like We want our operators to have genuine ownership of their work. Success in this role means delivering safe, productive and commercially sound projects while maintaining a consistently high standard of technical quality.

Key expectations include maintaining strong billable utilisation, completing all required field and QA documentation daily, delivering CCTV reports within agreed client timeframes, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and consistently complying with Geosurv's WHS, quality and environmental systems.

You will also be encouraged to identify opportunities for other Geosurv services on projects and build strong relationships with clients, contractors and other trades.

Why Join Geosurv?

This is an chance to join a business that is continuing to grow its Utilities capability rather than stepping into a narrow, repetitive operator role.

You’ll work across a diverse range of projects, have access to specialist equipment and experienced technical teams, and be part of an integrated business where CCTV works alongside utility locating, utility surveying, NDD, asset investigation, surveying and spatial services.

For the right person, there is also an opportunity to take greater ownership as the CCTV service continues to develop — contributing to technical standards, QA processes, training and the development of future operators.

If you are an experienced CCTV Operator who takes pride in delivering quality work, enjoys working directly with clients and wants to be part of a growing multidisciplinary business, we’d like to hear from you.
