Cater Care Services seeks to appoint a culinary professional to the role of Chef based on 14/14 roster at our mining village operation in NT What does a day in the life of a Chef at Cater Care look like?
- Food preparation and presentation (breakfast, crib, dinner, dessert and functions)
- Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
- Ensure compliance to the Food safety program
- Assist with stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
- Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
- Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
- Fast, effective service provided with a smile
- Assisting the broader team as required
- Demonstrate a robust safety culture aligned with the Cater Care Safety Commitments
To Get a Start You’ll Need
- Ability to work well independently, as well as with other team members
- A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
- A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, sometimes for long periods.
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
- First rate safety focused attitude
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (high volume bulk cookery experience is highly regarded but is not essential).
