Task & responsibilities Support the setup and organisation of learning resources, play materials, and equipment for children’s educational and recreational activities. Encourage positive behaviour and assist children in developing social skills and emotional awareness. Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote learning, creativity, and physical development.
Engage children through storytelling, reading sessions, games, and other interactive experiences.
Monitor and guide children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Oversee children’s daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, transitions, and group activities.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, assisting children with personal care as needed. Provide nurturing supervision in settings such as long day care, occasional care, hospitals, and educational environments, while adhering to required licensing or registration standards. experience To join the team at Greenleaf Early Learning you will require: Minimum AQF Certificate III. At least 1 years’ experience as a child care worker in long day care, including assisting with programming and setting up stimulating learning environments.
A current First Aid Working with Children Check WWCC.
