About the role

We are seeking an experienced a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, plans, design documentation and technical documentation for civil infrastructure, building and associated engineering projects. The position will work closely with Civil Engineers, Project Managers, consultants and other project stakeholders to ensure accurate and coordinated documentation throughout the design, tender and construction stages.

Key responsibilities Civil Engineering Drafting & Design

- Prepare accurate civil engineering drawings, plans, design packages and technical documentation using CAD and relevant engineering software.
- Prepare and modify drawings in accordance with engineering designs, project specifications and applicable standards.
- Interpret engineering designs, sketches, specifications and other technical information and translate them into accurate drawings and documentation.
- Review and update drawings to reflect design changes, project requirements and engineering revisions.
- Assist Civil Engineers with the preparation and development of design documentation throughout various project stages.
- Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control records to ensure accurate and current documentation.

Essential Requirements





- Relevant experience working as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson, Civil Drafter or equivalent.
- Relevant qualification such as a Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering, Engineering Drafting – Civil Design, or a related discipline.
- Robust knowledge of civil engineering drafting principles, design documentation and construction drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate technical drawings using CAD and relevant engineering software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, design information and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Civil Engineers, Project Managers, consultants and subcontractors.
- Good organisational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple project requirements.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with BIM, 3D modelling or other engineering design software.

Position: Civil Engineering Draftsperson

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

Location: Bankstown, Sydney NSW

Work arrangement: In person
