Your Opportunity

As a Civil Pipelaying Ganger, you will be contributing to the effective and efficient operation of the Water & Wastewater Department by assisting Supervisors in the daily coordination of work teams and resources in the construction, maintenance and operation of water supply and sewerage infrastructure. STATUS: Permanent, Full-time

HOURS of WORK: 76 hours per fortnight | 9-day fortnight

PAY LEVEL: $2,660.09 – $2,725.06 per fortnight (Level 5 - 6) + Construction Allowance ($80.90 per fortnight) + Leading Hand Allowance ($76.90 per fortnight). Plus 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award. Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience.

What you will need in this role

For full details of this position, please ensure you download the Position Description. To be considered for this role, you will need:

- Legal right to live and work in Australia




- A Class C (car) licence or greater is required for this role.
- An Occupational Health & Safety Construction Induction Card (White Card); or the ability to obtain.
- Immunisation record indicating Hepatitis A&B; vaccinations or immunity; or the ability to be vaccinated.
- Preparedness to work 24-hours on-call on a rotational basis, weekends and flexible hours.
- Demonstrated experience as a team leader with the ability to coordinator staff to complete daily jobs.
- Experience in water and sewerage reticulated network construction.
