The Cleaner provides cleaning and hygiene services at Seven Hills State School, including classrooms, offices, toilets, sick bays, floors, outdoor areas, rubbish removal and general maintenance of the school environment.

The role also involves operating cleaning equipment, maintaining security by locking/unlocking buildings and security systems, and reporting safety, security, damage and supply issues to the Principal or Business Manager. This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.84FTE), 64 hours per fortnight.

Your opportunity:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to support the day-to-day operation of our school by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the site.

The successful applicant will take pride in their work, have good attention to detail and be able to work independently while contributing positively to the school team. This position is being offered in a Permanent Part time capacity 32 hours per week. Working across 5 days per week morning and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilties include, but are not limited to:

- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.




- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Hosing, sweeping and vacuuming.
- Removal of graffiti.
- Vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
- Other appropriate cleaning duties as directed by the Principal/Business Manager.

Security

- Activating and disarming school security systems as required.
- Locking and unlocking buildings.

Liaison

- Liaise with Principal/Business Manager concerning purchase and/or replacement of cleaning materials.
- Reporting security, safety, damage concerns to the Principal/Business Manager or Schools Officer (Facilities and/or Grounds).
- Referring members of the public to relevant school personnel as required.
