Role Description The Clinical Coding Auditor role is a remote, work from home contract opportunity. You will partner with Resolutions' clients to review clinical documentation and coded data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant coding standards and healthcare regulations. Depending on our contract, the role can involve collaborating with clinical coders, health information managers, and clinical staff to provide feedback, support coding education, and contribute to the development of audit methodologies and risk management strategies.

You will assist in implementing best practices for clinical coding, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and supports clients in managing large-scale coding audits efficiently.





Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum 5 years Australian, tertiary hospital experience
- Strong clinical coding expertise across relevant coding standards (e.g., ICD-10-AM, ACHI, ACS) and experience with tertiary hospital and healthcare coding environments.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation review, audit methodologies, and data quality assessment, with the ability to identify and analyze coding risks and discrepancies.
- Experience using audit and health information systems, including electronic medical records, audit sampling tools, and reporting or statistical analysis software.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycles, compliance requirements, and risk management principles within the Australian health sector.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clinical coders, clinicians, managers, and client stakeholders, including the ability to deliver clear feedback and education.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health Information Management, Clinical Coding, or a related field, and recognized clinical coding certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical coding auditing or advanced clinical coding roles, ideally within diverse healthcare settings (public, private, or government).
- Ability to work remotely with clients throughout Australia.
