The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy within business hours at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of Child and Youth Mental Health.

The Clinical Nurse

Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with health care teams in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of Child and Youth Mental Health.

About The Team The Acute Response Team operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to provide timely and responsive support in the management of acute mental health presentations or concerns. Clinicians in the team provide face to face mental health assessments in the Queensland Children's Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital Emergency Departments, after hours mental health consultation and assessment for young people with acute mental health concerns admitted to non-mental health units of the hospital, crisis phone service for young people and their families/carers in the CHQ catchment and follow up phone support for consumers of CHQ catchment, following presentation to an Emergency Department and who are currently consumers of CYMHS community.

About The Role In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values . Your contribution will include:

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
