About the role:
We're seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our Rehabilitation team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting chance for a skilled clinician to provide expert clinical leadership, support excellence in patient care and contribute to positive rehabilitation outcome for our patients.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patients on their rehabilitation journey, helping them achieve their goals and maximise their independence
You will provide advanced clinical nursing expertise, leadership and support within the rehabilitation service. Working closely with the Nursing Unit Manager, you will assist in day-to-day operational management of the ward, support staff development and promote the delivery of safe, high-quality patient centered care.

Our rehabilitation service based in North Turramurra provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery, neurological conditions, medical illness and functional decline. Key responsibilities:
- Providing expert clinical care and advice within the rehabilitation setting.
- Coordinating and facilitating patient-centered rehabilitation programs
- Supporting patients and families through their rehabilitation journey
- Acting as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
- Promoting best practice, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Assisting with discharge planning and transitions of care
- Collaborates effectively with medical, allied health and nursing team
- Participating in education by working closely with hospital educators
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to work in Australia
- Current AHPRA Registration (no restrictions)
- Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience, with demonstrated experience in rehabilitation, aged care, neurological orthopaedic, subacute or palliative care
- Previous experience in senior nursing or leadership role
- Excellent clinical assessment and care coordination skills
- Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Postgraduate qualification or a related field, or willingness to undertake further study will be highly regarded

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the " NSWNMA / CNS - Nurses and Midwives Agreement - starting from $60.59 - $67.23 per hour.
