Role Description This is a full-time, in office Clinical Specialist role based in Melbourne, VIC.
The Clinical
Specialist will support surgeons and clinical teams in the effective use of Matrix Medical Innovations’ endoscopic spine products and related technologies during procedures and in pre- and post-operative settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing in-theatre case support, delivering product training and education to clinical staff, and assisting with protocol implementation for new technologies. The role involves collaborating with sales and marketing teams on clinical presentations, gathering feedback from healthcare professionals, and contributing to clinical evaluations and documentation.
The Clinical
Specialist will also stay current with relevant clinical research, guidelines, and best practices to ensure accurate information and high-quality support.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to explain clinical concepts and product features clearly to diverse clinical audiences.
- Foundational knowledge in Medicine or a related clinical discipline, ideally with experience in orthopedics, neurosurgery, or spinal care.
- Ability to deliver Training and education to surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in both group and one-on-one settings.
- Experience or interest in Research and Clinical Research, including interpreting clinical data and supporting evidence-based practice.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health sciences, nursing, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Comfort working in operating theatre environments and collaborating closely with surgical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in time-sensitive clinical situations.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required to support cases and training sessions.
