Details: The CMTEDD People and Capability Branch is seeking expressions of interest for the role of CMTEDD WHS Coordinator, available immediately until January 2027 with the possibility of extension.
This role provides central WHS support and practical assistance to business area WHS Coordinators, supporting Executives to implement and embed effective WHS management practices in line with the Directorate's WHS Management System, PeopleSafety. The successful applicant will undertake WHS coordination functions for a range of CMTEDD business areas, including incident management and investigation, WHS risk management, reporting and corrective action tracking, data analysis, and the development and maintenance of WHS procedures and guidance materials.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, good attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to confidently engage with a broad range of stakeholders to influence positive outcomes and drive continuous improvement will be key to success in this role.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- Experience in WHS is desirable but not essential. The successful applicant will have, or be willing to obtain,
a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until January 2027 with the possibility of extension up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Please note, this position will be moving to a current workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
