Paediatric Occupational Therapy doesn't have to mean sitting in the same treatment room five days a week.
- $75,000–$115,000 + super
- Full-time over four days available
- Clinic, schools, community, surf, equine and group programs
- Established team of eight paediatric Occupational Therapists
If you enjoy paediatric Occupational Therapy but want a little more creativity and variety in your working week, this role offers something genuinely different.
Our client is an established Sutherland Shire paediatric Occupational Therapy provider supporting children from preschool age through to approximately 12 years.
Alongside traditional clinic and community therapy, the team has developed a range of programs including equine therapy, surfing, martial arts, gymnastics and group-based activities.
You don't have to participate in all of them.
Instead, the Directors are happy to build opportunities around the interests and strengths of their clinicians.
Your Week Could Look Very Different Depending on what you enjoy, your week could include:
- Individual clinic appointments
- School visits
- Daycare visits
- Equine-based programs
- Surfing programs
- Martial arts
- Gymnastics
- School holiday programs
- Group activities
- Traditional functional and developmental OT intervention
If you have your own interest, hobby or skill that could translate into meaningful therapy, the team is also open to exploring new program ideas.
Why You'll Love This Role
- Therapy With Variety: Move beyond the traditional clinic-only model.
- Optional Activity Programs:
Participate in the programs that genuinely interest you.
- Four-Day Week: Complete full-time hours over Tuesday to Friday if preferred.
- Established Caseload: Strong referrals mean you're stepping into existing work.
- Eight OT Colleagues: Be surrounded by clinicians who understand paediatric OT.
- Dedicated Therapy Gym: Purpose-built paediatric space with swings, padding and equipment.
- Flexible Community Mix: Approximately 70% clinic / 30% community, but this can be adjusted.
- Protected Admin Blocks: Documentation time is incorporated into your working day.
- Support Available: Access experienced Occupational Therapists and senior supervision.
- Room for Creativity: Bring ideas for programs or interventions you'd like to develop.
Not Interested in Surfing or Horses? That's completely fine.
You don't have to become the clinic's newest surf instructor.
If traditional clinic-based paediatric OT is what you enjoy most, the organisation can build your caseload primarily around that.
The programs are opportunities, not compulsory extras.
Your Caseload:
You'll work with children from preschool age through to approximately 12 years across a variety of developmental and functional presentations.
The current service is approximately:
70% clinic | 30% community
However, this can be tailored depending on your preferences.
A full clinic day may involve up to seven clients, with structured administration blocks built into the day.
