Retail Planner (12 month mat leave contract)

An exceptional opportunity has become available to join a globally recognised luxury retailer known for its heritage, craftsmanship and uncompromising commitment to quality.
Working within a high-performing Merchandise team, the Retail Planner will play a key role in optimising inventory across the retail network while leading important replenishment and merchandise-flow initiatives.
This is a broad and highly visible position suited to an analytical planner who enjoys improving processes, collaborating across departments and ensuring the right product is available in the right location at the right time.
The role Reporting to the Senior Retail Planning Manager, you will:
- Develop and continually refine replenishment strategies across the retail network
- Manage automated minimum and maximum stock settings, manual allocations and core-line replenishment
- Analyse sales and stock performance to forecast inventory requirements and support reordering decisions
- Optimise stock across stores through transfers, delivery management and aged-stock analysis
- Play a lead role in the implementation of key supply-chain and replenishment projects
- Help establish the processes, systems and protocols required to create an productive end-to-end merchandise flow
- Partner closely with Retail Operations, store teams, Logistics, Inventory, IT and regional stakeholders
- Provide planning and analytical support across OTB, pricing and key seasonal planning cycles
- Produce accurate reporting, forecasting and performance analysis to support commercial decision-making
- Build strong relationships with retail teams to maintain an optimal product offer across every location
About you
You will be a commercially minded and highly analytical planner with exceptional attention to detail. You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Planner, Junior Planner, Retail Planner or in a similar analytical retail role
- Hands-on experience across allocations, replenishment, core-line planning, delivery tracking and merchandise reporting
- Strong numerical capability and confidence interpreting sales, stock and financial data
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new planning, reporting and replenishment systems
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across multiple departments
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused working style
- The ability to manage competing priorities while working both autonomously and collaboratively
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, mathematics, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded
