About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join the leadership team. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional customer service standards, team engagement, and smooth operational performance across all departments.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams, and creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily venue operations across bar, gaming, restaurant, and accommodation areas
- Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage staff performance, training, and development
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, health, and workplace safety regulations
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and issue resolution professionally
- Assist with rostering, stock control, cash handling, and venue reporting




- Support the achievement of operational and financial targets
- Maintain presentation standards throughout the venue
- Foster a positive and cooperative workplace culture

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership position
- Strong knowledge of gaming, bar, food and beverage operations
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Essential Requirements

- Current QLD RSA & RSG
- RMLV and Approved Manager's Licence
- Gaming experience highly regarded
- Full Australian working rights
