We are seeking an experienced Rostering & Workforce Optimisation Specialist to lead a critical organisational improvement project focused on workforce planning, roster optimisation, compliance, workforce analytics and technology integration. This role is a 6 month fixed term contract with full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
This is an opportunity to redesign how workforce planning is delivered across a complex and growing service setting.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will review current workforce and rostering practices, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver sustainable workforce planning solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance and service continuity.
Key areas of focus include:
- Optimising workforce utilisation, shift coverage and roster effectiveness.
- Developing workforce forecasting models and staffing strategies aligned to future demand.
- Introducing AI-enabled workforce planning and rostering solutions.
- Creating workforce dashboards, reporting frameworks and actionable insights.
- Ensuring workforce compliance across SCHADS Award, Fair Work and NDIS requirements.
- Building organisation-wide capability in workforce planning and roster governance.
- Partner directly with executive leaders to influence strategic workforce planning and organisational growth.
About You
You are a workforce planning,
rostering or operational optimisation professional who enjoys turning data into practical solutions.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, scheduling, rostering or workforce optimisation.
- Strong understanding of SCHADS Award interpretation and workforce compliance.
- Experience developing workforce forecasts, staffing models and workforce strategies.
- Advanced Excel, reporting and workforce analytics capability.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, project management and change leadership skills.
- A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and leveraging technology to solve complex workforce challenges.
Highly Regarded
- Experience with workforce management platforms such as Visual Care, Humanforce, Deputy, ShiftCare, Brevity or Skedulo.
- Exposure to AI, automation or digital workforce management solutions.
- Experience within disability, health, aged care or community services environments.
