Four wins at the 2026 Business Hunter Awards. Not bad for one night.
But they aren’t interested in standing still.
They've created a brand-recent role to take the lead on growing their Parts division into a serious profit centre.
This is a business development and commercial growth role at heart.
You get a kick out of chasing opportunities, opening doors, winning new customers and growing existing accounts. You spot value before anyone else does - then know how to turn that opportunity into a sale. And, ultimately, profit.
Spot it. Buy it. Rebuild it. Sell it.
You know your market when it comes to mining equipment and assets.
You know when a fleet is being replaced. Or a machine is being disposed of. You understand what's worth buying. What's worth rebuilding. What's going to make money.
Your job is to see the opportunity and go after it. Ideally before it hits the open market.
You'll get out to customer sites, build relationships with maintenance and asset teams, understand replacement schedules and identify equipment and components that can be acquired.
Then you'll work with the workshop, warehouse and service teams to rebuild, repair and take those parts back to market – finding the customer, negotiating the deal and closing the sale.
Buy smart. Add value. Sell well. Create margin. Repeat.
You'll have plenty of autonomy to do it.
No micromanagement.
No sitting behind a desk five days a week. You’ll be where the opportunities are. Mine sites. Workshops. Auctions. Customer sites.
Where you live matters far less than what you can create. Morgan Engineering calls the Hunter Valley home, but you can call anywhere across NSW, QLD or WA’s mining regions yours.
You
You started your career on the tools. You’ve got the mechanical aptitude to know your way around the big names in mining equipment (CAT, Hitachi, Liebherr). You can walk through a workshop or mine site and understand exactly what you're looking at.
But technical knowledge alone won't do it.
You'll have a seriously clever commercial brain.
Asset values, margins, repair costs and risk. You'll know when to buy, when to walk away and where the opportunity sits.
Most of all? You’re hungry to develop business and sell. Hunt for new customers. Growing existing accounts. Negotiating deals. Closing sales.
You’re commercially driven, well connected and know how to turn a relationship into revenue without making it feel transactional.
Why Morgan Engineering?
They’re still family owned, but it’s not a small family operation.
It's a sophisticated engineering business with 140+ employees, nationwide customers, and a solid reputation built across decades.
They solve problems. They reverse engineer and remanufacture parts that customers simply can't source anymore.
They genuinely invest in their people, giving them room to grow, and aren’t afraid of new ideas.
Four Business Hunter Awards in one night says plenty about the business they’ve built.
If you've spent years looking at mining equipment and seeing opportunities other people miss, this might be your chance to build a business around it.
