About This Role

We are currently looking for a Compliance Operations Officer to join our growing team who will be responsible for supports the effective implementation of compliance and regulatory obligations across Australia and New Zealand. The role is responsible for monitoring compliance activities, supporting operational processes, and ensuring that Xe's products, services, and business operations remain aligned with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies. The position plays a key role in maintaining a strong compliance framework and promoting a culture of compliance throughout the business.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Compliance Operations BAU Support: Support the day-to-day execution of Compliance Operations activities across Australia and New Zealand, including customer onboarding, ongoing due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP screening, fraud-related reviews, and case management activities, ensuring work is completed accurately, consistently, and in line with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and agreed service standards.
- Quality Assurance and Control: Perform quality assurance reviews across key compliance operational processes to assess the accuracy, completeness,



and effectiveness of work performed. Identify trends, control gaps, training needs, and areas for improvement, and support the implementation of corrective actions to strengthen operational quality and compliance outcomes.
- Special Projects and Process Improvements: Contribute to special projects, regulatory change initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvement activities impacting Compliance Operations. Support the design, testing, implementation, and documentation of improved workflows, controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency, consistency, and regulatory alignment.
- Operational Training and Knowledge Sharing: Develop, coordinate, and deliver operational compliance training, guidance materials, and knowledge-sharing sessions for Compliance Operations and relevant business teams. Ensure training content is practical, current, and aligned with policies, procedures, quality assurance findings, and regulatory expectations.

- Operational Remediation Activities: Support and coordinate remediation activities arising from quality assurance findings, audit reviews, regulatory changes, system issues, or identified process gaps. Track remediation actions through to completion, escalate risks or delays where required, and help ensure sustainable fixes are embedded into BAU processes.
- Escalations and Compliance Advice: Review and support the resolution of complex or escalated compliance operations matters, applying sound judgement and risk-based analysis. Provide practical guidance to operational and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent decision-making and appropriate management of compliance risks.
- Policies, Procedures, and Documentation: Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of Compliance Operations procedures, work instructions, training materials,



and supporting documentation, ensuring they remain accurate, fit for purpose, and aligned with regulatory obligations, internal policies, and operational practices.

Position Requirements

- Law, Economics, Business Administration Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.
- Minimum +2 years of experience in AML/CTF environment or Compliance Risk management.
- Experience writing policies and performing compliance risk assessments.
- Strong analytical, operational, and problem-solving skills are a must.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and supervise a team of analysts.
- Well versed in Excel, Power BI and data analysis, with high attention to detail.
