About the role
Small family-owned country pub between Gin Gin and Bundaberg is looking for a cook to join our kitchen. We serve pub-style lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday, and we're after someone who can cook well under pressure and work smoothly with our existing team.
Key responsibilities
- Prep, cook, and plate pub meals for dine-in and takeaway
- Keep the kitchen clean and food safety standards up
- Help with stock, rotations, and ordering as needed
- Work alongside our existing kitchen team — communicate clearly and keep service moving
- Contribute ideas for specials when it fits
About you
- Experience in a busy kitchen (pub, cafe, or similar)
- Comfortable with lunch and dinner rushes and weekend shifts
- Organised, reliable, and easy to work with
- Solid food safety habits
- Happy to follow existing processes and help improve them without taking over
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
