Grünthal Brew is looking for a Cook – Grade 1 to join our busy kitchen team.

This role would suit someone who is currently completing a cookery qualification, has recently qualified, or already has some commercial kitchen experience and is looking for a role where they can continue building their skills.

THE ROLE

You'll work across different areas of our kitchen, including:

- Larder
- Fryers
- Pizza
- Food preparation
- General kitchen cleaning and organisation

This is a hands-on kitchen role, and everyone pitches in. Some shifts will involve busy food service; others will involve basic prep, cleaning and getting the kitchen ready for service. We're looking for someone who's equally willing to do both.

You'll work under the direction of our Head Chef, Sous Chef and kitchen leadership team, and you'll need to be comfortable taking direction and working respectfully with all members of our team.

HOURS & AVAILABILITY

We can offer around 20 hours per week initially, with the opportunity for full-time hours during holiday periods and our busier seasons. Availability throughout summer is essential, including weekends and the December/January period.

For the right person, there is also the chance for the role to develop into more regular or full-time hours.

ABOUT YOU

We'd love you to have:

- A cookery qualification underway or completed




- Some experience in a commercial kitchen
- A willingness to learn and be trained across different sections
- A strong work ethic and willingness to tackle all jobs - including cleaning and basic prep
- The ability to take direction and work respectfully as part of a team
- Reliability and availability on weekends and throughout all of summer
- Valid Australian working rights

GETTING TO GRÜNTHAL

We're located in Verdun in the Adelaide Hills, near Hahndorf, so please consider transport when applying. If you don't drive, there is a bus stop directly outside Grünthal, with public transport connections from Adelaide CBD.
