About the role
We are offering a permanent part-time counselling position for an experienced person-centred Counsellor to join our team at our Gosnells office. The position is responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic counselling to individuals, children, couples and families as casework as required. This role supports safety, wellbeing, and the development of healthy, respectful relationships. This is a permanent, part time role for three days per week, including Tuesday evening.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
You are an experienced counsellor with sound clinical judgement and a commitment to ethical, reflective, and person-centred practice. You are confident and well experienced working with diverse and complex presentations and bring strong capability in individual, couples, and family counselling.
You will have
- Completions of a tertiary degree qualification in Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work
- Professional experience providing therapeutic counselling to adults, children, couples, and families, including assessment and response to risk.
- Demonstrated understanding of applicable modalities to the counselling work. A trauma-responsive practice framework inclusive of diverse genders, sexualities, neurotypes, and people with disability.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family and domestic violence and child maltreatment and protection issues.
- Good written communication skills including report writing.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must have a current Working with Children Check and a National Police Certificate or be eligible to obtain one.
