THE ROLE

If so, here’s your opportunity to join YMCA SA as a Customer Care Officer. As a YMCA SA Customer Care Officer, every interaction you have is a chance to create a welcoming experience, support community connection, and ensure our members and guests feel informed and valued. Based at The Parks Recreation & Sports Centre, you’ll be the face of our centre, greeting visitors, assisting with enquiries, managing memberships and transactions, and providing key information about our programs and services.
You’ll also be joining a vibrant and supportive team to deliver excellent customer service.
*Weekend & Evening (4-9 PM) availability is essential
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to enquiries in person, on the phone and via email
- Assist with membership sales, program information and general administration
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions and café or merchandise sales
- Support the smooth daily operations of the centre, including acting as the primary contact for customers
- Maintain knowledge of services, bookings, events and emergency procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates will also have:
- HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent (or be willing to obtain)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and work under pressure
- Ability to proactively work independently and as a team member
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in a customer focused role working with a diverse community (highly desirable)
