Build Recruitment are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join a busy reactive maintenance team delivering high-quality repairs within social housing properties across North Hertfordshire, including Luton, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, and Hitchin. The Role n

You will carry out day-to-day electrical repairs and maintenance within occupied domestic and council properties. The role requires a strong focus on first-time fixes, customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of workmanship while working in tenants’ homes.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Carrying out reactive electrical repairs, fault finding, testing, and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
n
- Diagnosing electrical faults and delivering safe, effective, and long-lasting solutions
n




- Undertaking repairs to lighting, sockets, switches, consumer units, extractor fans, and other domestic electrical systems
n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations
n
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professionalism at all times
n
- Accurately completing job reports and required certification
n

Requirements nn
- Proven experience as an Electrician within domestic, social housing, or council property maintenance
n
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
n
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
n
- Testing and Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) desirable
n
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
n
- Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
