Job Description
Are you a data-driven finance professional with a passion for turning complex information into meaningful business insights? Join Ampcontrol as our Finance Reporting and Data Analyst and play a key role in shaping reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on working with data from our newly implemented Finance and Operations system and establishing reliable, well-structured data sets to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

You will work closely with Finance, Digital and Operational teams to develop reporting tools, analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement through data-led insights.
n
We're open to candidates located anywhere across New South Wales, with occasional travel to our Tomago Head Office required.
n
This opportunity is available on either a permanent or fixed-term contract basis.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Reporting to the Business Performance Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial and operational reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions that enable informed decision-making across the business.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Develop BI dashboards, reports and trusted reporting data sets using Finance and Operations data
n
- Work with Finance, Digital, Transformation and operational stakeholders to define reporting requirements, logic and data quality standards
n
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks and improvement opportunities
n
- Support budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring and self-service reporting through timely insights
n
- Automate reporting, support system integrations and maintain reporting specifications, data models and user documentation
n
n
About You
n
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
n
n
- Degree qualifications in Finance, Information Technology, Data Analytics or a related field
n
- Experience in financial reporting, business intelligence, data analytics or enterprise reporting environments
n
- Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel capability and confidence interpreting complex financial and operational data
n
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, SyteLine, SAP or similar, including reporting data sets, data mapping or validation processes
n
- Proficiency in Power BI and data visualisation best practice
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
n
n
Experience with SQL, system integration projects, enterprise reporting environments and working with newly implemented ERP or Finance and Operations systems to build trusted reporting data sets will be highly regarded.
