Australian Citizenship mandatory NV1 Security Clearance required A Federal Government organisation is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise data and analytics platforms within a complex and evolving technology workplace.

This position is suited to a leader who can effectively balance people management, delivery oversight, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership while driving the adoption of modern cloud-based data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop Data Engineering teams delivering enterprise data platform services and initiatives.
- Manage team workloads, priorities, resources, and delivery outcomes.
- Oversee platform operations, service management, incident response, and continuous improvement activities.
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure alignment with architecture, governance, and engineering standards.




- Drive platform roadmap initiatives and promote modern engineering practices across the team.

Essential Experience

- Demonstrated experience leading Data Engineering, Data Platform, or Technology teams within large and complex enterprise environments.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering and supporting enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, and analytics solutions.
- Proven capability managing operational support, project delivery, and strategic initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience working within governance, security, and service management frameworks.

Qualifications
