Your new role

As the Manager, Data Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the delivery, support and continuous improvement of enterprise data platforms and analytics capabilities.

You will play a key role in driving the organisation's data strategy, overseeing platform operations, managing complex delivery initiatives and ensuring the successful implementation of scalable, secure and reliable data solutions. Working closely with senior stakeholders across technology and the business, you will help shape the future direction of the organisation's cloud-based data environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading Data Engineering teams responsible for the development, delivery and ongoing support of enterprise data platforms.
- Managing team workload, resource allocation and delivery priorities across both project and operational activities.
- Driving a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Building team capability through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
- Ensuring the operational performance, maintenance and reliability of data platform services.
- Leading incident management, problem resolution and service improvement initiatives.
- Delivering complex cloud, integration and data platform projects across the organisation.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders,



technical teams and external partners to achieve successful outcomes.
- Managing delivery risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations throughout project lifecycles.
- Providing technical leadership to ensure solutions align with architectural standards, governance frameworks and engineering best practices.
- Contributing to platform roadmap development and ongoing technology uplift initiatives.
- Promoting modern engineering, operational and delivery methodologies across the technology function.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience leading Data Engineering, Technology or Engineering teams within large and complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience delivering and supporting cloud-based data platforms and enterprise technology solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with a strong focus on people management, coaching and team development.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience managing competing priorities across operational support, project delivery and strategic initiatives.
- Strong understanding of modern data platforms, cloud technologies and enterprise data ecosystems.
- Experience working within governance, security, risk and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and delivery outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
