MTX is looking for a Data Migration Consultant who is comfortable getting into the detail. You will work across source data, business rules and the Salesforce target model to profile, map, transform, load and reconcile data through each migration cycle. You will own the data domains assigned to you, keep the evidence clear and raise issues while there is still time to act on them.

What you will own
Data analysis and mapping
- Profile source data to identify structure, volume, quality, anomalies and referential integrity issues.
- Support workshops to confirm data definitions, mappings, transformation rules and ownership.
- Maintain source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, rule catalogues and issue logs.
- Work with data owners to resolve duplicates, invalid values, gaps and quality concerns.
Migration build and execution
- Develop or support extraction, transformation and load routines using approved tools and scripts.
- Prepare load files and sequence Salesforce objects while preserving relationships and external identifiers.
- Execute controlled loads across development, test, rehearsal and production environments.
- Investigate failed records, correct defects and maintain repeatable rerun processes.
Validation and delivery support
- Complete record-count, field-level, relationship and exception reconciliation after each cycle.
- Familiarity with the common checksum approaches including MD5.
- Maintain run logs,
reconciliation reports, defect evidence and migration outcomes.
- Support mock migrations, cutover planning, production migration and hypercare.
- Provide accurate progress updates and communicate data, access or environment blockers early.
What we are looking for:
Experience and capability
- Practical experience in data migration, conversion, ETL, analysis or data engineering.
- Experience with Salesforce data loading or comparable CRM migration activities.
- Working SQL knowledge and confidence manipulating, validating and reconciling structured data.
- Experience producing source-to-target mappings and transformation rules.
- Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to investigating data issues.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary delivery team.
Helpful additional experience
- Experience with Salesforce Data Loader, Workbench, Bulk API or comparable tools.
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, MuleSoft, Informatica, Talend or Azure Data Factory.
- Knowledge of Salesforce relationships, external IDs, automation and security.
- Consulting or regulated-industry experience in Australia.
Certifications
- Salesforce Administrator is preferred or should be actively pursued; Platform App Builder or relevant data credentials are advantageous.
