About NAPCo The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. About the role

Reporting to the CFO, the Data & IT Manager will shape and deliver the next phase of NAPCo’s Data and IT Strategy. This is a strategic and hands-on role, combining long-term direction with practical delivery across the business. Building on our established data capability, this role will lead a whole-of-business approach to finance transformation, enterprise data, technology services, cyber security and the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).

With accountability for NAPCo’s enterprise systems and technology environment, the role will oversee data architecture, integrity and governance, strategic technology initiatives, and the performance of outsourced IT service providers. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, including the Natural Capital and Finance teams, the Data & IT Manager will strengthen data and reporting capability, identify opportunities to streamline business processes through technology, and ensure systems, platforms and services remain secure, reliable, scalable and aligned with NAPCo’s priorities.

Day-to-day duties will include:

- Lead and deliver NAPCo’s Data and IT Strategy, including finance transformation, cyber security, AI adoption and whole-of-business technology priorities.
- Strengthen data governance, architecture, integration and reporting capability,



including oversight of the Data Warehouse, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environment.
- Oversee NAPCo’s enterprise technology platforms, IT services, infrastructure and connectivity, ensuring effective cyber security, disaster recovery, technology risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with business teams to improve systems, automate processes and deliver practical data, AI and technology solutions.
- Take a hands-on role in investigating system and data issues, improving workflows and supporting the implementation of practical solutions.
- Manage outsourced technology providers, contracts, service performance, risk, budgets and technology investments.
- Lead system upgrades, asset lifecycle planning, user education and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the role’s direct report, supporting capability development and effective delivery.

About You

You are an experienced Data, Technology, Business Systems or IT professional who can translate business needs into practical solutions and confidently lead enterprise-wide initiatives.

You will be comfortable working across a diverse and geographically dispersed business, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on delivery. To be successful in this role, you will have:

- At least five years’ relevant experience in data, technology, business systems or IT, including management experience leading projects,



people or service providers.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience leading enterprise data and technology initiatives, including digital transformation, cyber security and AI adoption.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, networking and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated project management, vendor management and technology budget management experience.
- Experience working with remote operations and geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience within the agricultural or agribusiness sector will be highly regarded.
