Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations include multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life. The Checkers processing plant at Mt Magnet is currently undergoing a A$223M expansion and upgrade to an initial 4.3Mtpa capacity, with construction expected to be completed in the September 2027 quarter.

The Role

Our Mt Magnet operation is seeking a Dewatering Technician to support water management across open pit, underground, and processing plant areas. The role requires a safety-conscious individual capable of working autonomously, with sound numeracy and communication skills to manage priorities effectively on-site.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Install, operate, and maintain pumps, wellpoints, and dewatering infrastructure
- Carry out dewatering activities across open pit, underground, and processing plant areas
- Follow work orders and instructions from the Maintenance Superintendent
- Adhere to SOPs and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards on-site




- Report incidents and hazards promptly to management

About You You're a hands-on, safety-conscious individual with a strong sense of ownership over your work. You're comfortable operating independently on-site, prioritising tasks effectively, and adapting to the demands of a dynamic mining environment. With solid communication and numeracy skills, you work well both autonomously and as part of a broader maintenance team, always maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

You bring to the role:

- Trade certificate (Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing) advantageous
- Dewatering experience within a mining environment, both open pit and underground
- current WA C-class driver's licence.
- Forklift, EWP, dogging, rigging, crane licences - desirable
- Developed numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing tasks
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail across all tasks undertaken
- Experience working with asset management processes and frameworks (desirable)A
