The foundation of Bayside Health’s People and Culture Division (P&C;) is service delivery excellence. As an enabling function P&C; exists to support the workforce to focus on the delivery of patient care/ research and has a pivotal role to play in supporting the integration of Bayside Health services. Reporting to Bayside Health’s Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) the role sits within an integrated matrix structure that delivers some services within Care Groups and others enterprise-wide across Bayside Health.
The Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leads a ‘Centre of Excellence’ and is responsible for enterprise-wide development, implementation, and evaluation of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plan to deliver on Bayside Health’s commitment to an inclusive, safe and respectful workplace. As part of the P&C; Leadership Group, the role will support the delivery of a future People Strategy for Bayside Health.
Please note that this position may be based at either The Alfred Hospital, Prahran or Peninsula University Hospital, Frankston.
The Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is responsible for:
- Leading a specialised team to deliver high-quality DE&I; advice
- Design and delivery of best practice DE&I; programs including engagement, training and support activities/resources
- Integration of DE&I; principles into organisational practices, projects and initiatives
- Framework and structures for DE&I; governance, committees and working groups
- Compliance with relevant workplace laws and regulations relating to DE&I;
- DE&I; metrics, data collection, analysis and reporting
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Relevant deep subject matter expertise and experience
- Proven ability to lead a specialised DE&I; team and to advance DE&I; practices
- Recent senior leadership experience in specialised service delivery at scale as part of a matrix structure
- Ability to balance long term goals with immediate operational needs
- Team-oriented and constructive leadership behaviours to foster a positive, high-performing workplace
