Your New Role

Working as a director, this role focuses on spearheading the area to ensure that all programs are carried out and completed to a high standard. With a particular emphasis on curriculum development, this role will require strong knowledge of the policy and program development and continuous improvement to support new projects to improve current processes. This role will require experience in leading implementation of new projects alongside the entire project management lifecycle, as this role concentrates on program development, implementation and monitoring.

Additionally, this role will have a strong people management aspect as this role will include managing 2-4 separate units and creating a high-performance culture and will be responsible for managing a large number of staff. Working across different portfolios, this role also requires strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, both internally and externally. Requiring strong presentation skills, this role will include presentations to high level personnel within the organisation, in addition to providing advice based on data of the programs.

With required knowledge of procurement and financial budgeting, this role requires analysis of procurement and contract decisions for the area to ensure that projects are in line with budget.



Furthermore, this role will also include lots of strategic planning for the future of the area to ensure that all programs are sustainable and are delivering the best service possible.

What You'll Need to Succeed

You are an experienced director or senior manager with experience working in the education or public sector.

- Ability to lead the development and continuous improvement of policy, guidance, and resources to provide to third-party stakeholders
- Lead the implementation of flagship reforms, with a focus on implementation through close engagement with external stakeholders
- Lead policy and program development
- Management of key programs
- Provide high-level authoritative advice to senior executives
- Lead a portfolio of 2 - 4 units including the coordination, integration of planning, monitoring, ongoing improvement, and evaluation.
- Maximise team effectiveness by selecting, developing, motivating, and managing a high performing team.
- Work closely and supportively with the divisional, sub-group and group executive teams
- Lead effective financial management within the area by supporting teams to manage their budgets in a timely and accurate manner.
