The Position

Loreto Kirribilli is seeking to appoint an outstanding and visionary leader for the position of Director of Sport (K–12), to provide strategic and operational leadership of the School’s sporting programme, ensuring sport enables exceptional student development, promotes wellbeing and participation, and advances the School’s commitment to excellence and holistic education.

Reporting to the Principal, the role is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the School’s K–12 sporting programme, supporting student participation and achievement, and ensuring a high-quality and cohesive sporting experience that meets the needs of students, staff and the wider School community. The Director of Sport will lead a team comprising the Head of Sport – Development, Head of Sport – Pathways, Head of Rowing, Coach Development and Athlete Performance Coordinator, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, and Sport Administrator.

As part of this role, the Director of Sport will lead the development and implementation of a clear K–12 vision and multi-year strategic plan for sport, working closely with school leaders and key stakeholders to strengthen participation pathways, athlete development, coaching capability and program innovation. The position will also cultivate strategic partnerships with sporting associations, clubs, universities and community organisations to expand opportunities for students.





The successful candidate will be a credible and cooperative leader with strong strategic and operational expertise, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to lead complex programmes and teams through growth and change. They will bring a deep understanding of contemporary school sport, the ability to balance participation, wellbeing and high performance.
