Dog Grooming Bather – Part-Time/Casual

We’re looking for a positive, reliable and hardworking person to join our grooming team as a Dog Grooming Bather.

Previous dog grooming or bathing experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

For us, attitude and team fit matter just as much as experience. If you’re dependable, willing to work hard, genuinely enjoy working with dogs and are keen to learn, we’re happy to teach the right person.

The hours

We currently require someone who can commit to:

Monday: 7:30am – 2:00pm

Tuesday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

These hours are required each week.

There is also potential for additional hours and days for the right person as the role develops.

This could be a excellent opportunity for someone wanting to enter the dog grooming industry, or for someone with existing bathing or grooming experience looking to join a supportive, established team.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside our grooming team, your responsibilities will include:

- Bathing dogs of different breeds, sizes and coat types
- Drying and preparing dogs for their groom
- Brushing and basic coat preparation
- Safely handling dogs throughout the grooming process
- Keeping the bathing and grooming areas clean, hygienic and organised
- Washing towels and assisting with laundry and cleaning
- Helping the groomers keep the salon running efficiently
- Learning and following our handling, grooming and safety procedures
- Supporting the wider grooming team wherever required

This is a physical and hands-on role. You will spend much of the day on your feet and will regularly be working with water, dryers, wet dogs and dogs of varying sizes. Cleaning is also an important part of the position.

Experience is welcome, but attitude cannot be taught. We would rather invest our time training someone who is reliable, hardworking and genuinely wants to learn than simply hire based on the number of years someone has worked in the industry.
